Filipa Frois Almeida (Halle, Germany, 1981) is a transdisciplinary artist and researcher who lives and works in Porto.
Dedicated to the study of the perception of time and the figurative representation of memory, analysing processes of deceleration observed in photo-installations, as a way of responding to the growing concern that has arisen in a society marked by constant acceleration.
Open to experimentation, her work process crosses different media and materialities, embracing aspects such as vulnerability, chance and error.
Has a degree in Architecture and has a degree in photography from Imago Galerie Berlin and a Master's in Artistic Photography from IPCI.
Co-founder of the creative studio FAHR 021.3 with Hugo Reis, which, by combining the disciplines of art and architecture, seeks to rethink and redefine space.
Since September 2024, she is a PhD Fine Arts student at the Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto.
